A free event to help promote and develop volunteering across the UK.
London will shortly be hosting the UK leg of the European Year of Volunteering 2011 Tour. The event will provide a unique opportunity for anyone interested in playing a role in their community to meet with organisations working with volunteers as well as volunteers themselves.
It will be of interest to both members of the public who want to find out more about volunteering, as well as organisation working with volunteers who want to meet and learn from others in the field.
Entrance is free and there is no requirement to register. Individuals are welcome to drop it at any point between 11am and 5pm every day.
The centerpiece of the event is a market place where attendees can meet with organisations working with volunteers and volunteers themselves from organisations such as the British Red Cross, Marie Curie, the British Heart Foundation, Rockcorps and Do-it.org.
There will also be a meeting space where organisations will be putting on small free conferences, discussions and workshops on the topic of volunteering.
