Join Ken Titmuss for a walk with old maps round this ancient neighbourhood.
Walk the street where the young Charles Dickens lodged whilst his father was in the Marshalsea Prison and visit the church that was used as the setting for Little Dorrit.
Using old maps you will trace the footprint of the prison and touch the actual prison wall. Discover an old tin plate works, a grade II listed warehouse and find out what became of the workhouse.
Along the way you will encounter the Shelleys, Octavia Hill and the notorious Bella Burge. Walk ends at the last galleried inn in London.
