It Happened One Night at National Theatre

Frank Kapra's screwball romance will be projected onto the National Theatre Flytower for a free outdoor screening on Valentine's Day.

The film paired Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert for the first time and despite their reservations about the script, went on to win five Academy Awards.

Hollywood legend claims that as a result of the scene in which Gable undresses to reveal his bare chest, US sales of men's undershirts declined noticeably.

There will be limited deckchair seating available on the Baylis Terrace and plenty of room to sit on the floor. Bring warm blankets and something comfy to sit on with your loved one.
