Work by past and present members of Crisis Skylight London, exploring personal journeys of homelessness.
The arts are an important element of Crisis Skylight, the charity’s an award-winning education and training service which helps homeless and vulnerably housed people Birmingham, Edinburgh, London, Merseyside, Newcastle and Oxford.
Dedicated and experienced tutors work alongside Crisis Skylight members to help them discover their creativity and build their confidence through artistic expression.
Discovering their creative side often help Crisis Skylight members to develop their self-esteem and motivation, qualities which may well have been devastated by their experiences of homelessness. Artistic endeavours often help people make their vital first steps towards more stable and settled lives.
Graffiti and urban art, stone carving, clay sculpture, life drawing, print-making, exploring colour, photography and film making - a full spectrum of arts-based courses are available to Crisis Skylight members across the UK.
