The opportunities for future improvement and development of Long Lane have been set out in a consultation document to be published this week by the Bermondsey Neighbourhood Forum, the Neighbourhood Planning group for West Bermondsey and Borough.
The consultation document looks at the history, environment, heritage and character of Long Lane and the opportunities to improve and develop the area.
In particular it looks at 22 sites along the road – including derelict and vacant plots - and also how to tackle traffic problems and make the area better for pedestrians.
Alongside the document there will be a number of consultation events, starting with a drop-in exhibition where people can come and talk to members of the Bermondsey Neighbourhood Forum and give their views about the future of Long Lane and various sites along it.
Further consultation events will include a presence at the Bermondsey Street Festival.
