World premiere of a new version of Chess, the Musical.

The show's lyricist Sir Tim Rice has given the production team exclusive access to the concert version presented at the Royal Albert Hall in May 2008 to mount the first fully staged production of what he calls the definitive version of this epic musical.

Chess involves a romantic love triangle between two players in a World Chess Championship, and the woman who manages one and falls in love with the other.

Chess the musical will feature an experienced cast of 16 performers from the West End and Broadway theatre.

Music by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. Lyrics by Sir Tim Rice.
