Lecture by Dr Michael Escudier as part of Feed Your Mind - King's College London's festival of food and ideas.

Saliva is essential to the effective functioning of the mouth and its contents.Its wide ranging roles include the areas of speech, swallowing, taste, digestion and immunity as well as helping teeth to stay healthy and dentures to remain in place. As a result significant problems can arise with even minor changes in its composition or production and this talk will seek to explore its role in health and disease.
