An Introduction to Commedia dell'Arte

This highly practical one-day course will give you a great introduction to commedia, exploring masks and character types, physical storytelling, improvisation, stagecraft and developing scenarios. The day will culminate with the development and performance of classic two-person scenarios. Professional Commedia masks will be supplied.

The day will be led by Didi Hopkins, an expert on Commedia who was one of the advisors to Richard Bean when he was writing One Man, Two Guvnors.

Please come in comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for practical work. No previous experience required.
