Black and white photographs, prints and paintings.
Artist Caroline Underwood and multi award-winning photographer Paul Debois both work in monochrome, taking nature and our relationship with the environment as their central concern, with trees as a recurring theme.
Since meeting in 2010, a dialogue has grown between Underwood and Debois, developing to inform new bodies of work, exhibited for the first time.
The themes Underwood and Debois examined have been loosely interpreted in the context of their divergent practices. Presented as an exhibition, the journey can be charted, with subtle shifts in each artist's recent work documented through the gradual development of new ideas, processes and techniques.
