Bermondsey Walk with Old Maps

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Ken Titmuss leads a walk with old maps exploring London’s one-time leather-making district.

Among the warehouses you will find houses from the 17th century and see how the Watch House has found a new lease of life.

You may be surprised when you reach the Victorian smithy and then there is the site of the Workhouse and how the Beautification transformed it.

The walk ends by an amazing fragment of Bermondsey Abbey at the end of one of London’s most eclectic streets.
