Join Ken Titmuss for a walk with old maps exploring the neighbourhood south of Southwark Street.
The walk traces where the young Charles Dickens lodged while his father was in the Marshalsea and will find the outer wall of the prison itself.
Among many former industrial buildings, Ken will locate what was originally St Saviour’s Workhouse and discover examples of Church Commissioners cottages.
The walk will explore how a secret garden came to be and celebrate the achievement of Bella Burge.
