Waterloo Walk with Old Maps

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Join Ken Titmouse for a walk with old maps exploring beyond the South Bank.

Among streets with topographical names the walk follows the now buried River Neckinger to where it joins the Thames.

Ken will trace how familiar buildings had different identities, what it was like before the railway arrived and what happened when everyone’s favourite bridge broke.

Along the way you will encounter Eleanor Coade, Emma Cons and the Gold Refiner of Meymott Street.
