The People's Bureau

Over the last 10 months People’s Bureau artists Eva Sajovic and Rebecca Davies has been working with others to renovate one of the familiar E&C shopping centre market barrows to use as a base for a skills exchange project.

Thursday 14 May to Tuesday 19 May – The People's Bureau market barrow takes residence at the 'Moose on the Loose' art exhibition in the Typo Cafe at the London College of Communication.

Tuesday 19 May, 11am-12.30pm – Cuming Cabinet of Curiosity at the Typo Cafe, followed by a dance workshop to celebrate Elephant's musical culture with Theresa Dhaliwal Davies, in partnership with the Cuming Museum.

Tuesday 19 May, 1pm – 'Mobile Meadow' procession from LCC to take the cart home to Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre using seedlings planted by the community back in March at an earlier event.

To mark its return Rebecca Davies, known for her previous roles as Mavis Davis, will perform a sketch as a new character, to celebrate her experience working with the community of Elephant & Castle.

Thursday 21 May, 2pm - Professor Andrea Philippopoulos Mihalopoulos, Professor of Law and Theory, University of Westminster will facilitate a reading workshop at the shopping centre.

These events are supported by Delancey, owners of the shopping centre.
