The Mayor of Southwark invites you to meet world athletics legends Colin Jackson and Donovan Bailey.

Cllr Dora Dixon-Fyle MBE will host a reception to promote the Go Dad Run for men and boys in Southwark Park on Father's Day (Sunday 21 June).

The 5k run begins at 10.30am, launched by swimmer Mark Foster, with all proceeds going to Prostate Cancer UK.

The Mayor will be joined on Tuesday by world champions and record holders Colin Jackson and Donovan Bailey who will speak about their careers and their support for Prostate Cancer UK.

They'll also take questions about their athletics achievements and their reasons for choosing Southwark Park to be the home of Go Dad Run in London.

Most of all they want to encourage Southwark menfolk to join the 5k run - that's fathers, sons, brothers, cousins, uncles, granddads, work colleagues, partners, friends and neighbours aged 11 and over.

You can sign up now at www.godadrun.co.uk or on Tuesday afternoon at the promotion event.

Go Dad Runs are open to fathers, sons, brothers, partners, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and team-mates to take part in. And, of course, mums, wives, girlfriends and sisters all have a big role to play in getting the men in their lives to sign up and then supporting them on the day.

Entry costs £10 for boys aged 11-17 and £15 for men aged 18 and over.
All those who sign up will collect their race number, Go Dad Run Y-fronts and a free event T-shirt when they sign in on the day and all will be presented with a Big Yellow Goodie Bag and a medal when they cross the finish line.

By the way, those who run the race will wear their Go Dad Run Y-fronts over their running shorts!
