Polyphony Down the Pub

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Singing/socialising event - a pub 'jam session' but instead of playing folk music or jazz, people turn up to sing a cappella masterpieces from the 16th century by Byrd, Victoria and others.

Anyone who can read music and wants to take part should download the sheet music from the PDtP website; anyone who doesn't read music is still welcome to come along and listen.

No audition, no rehearsal, no performance; just people in a pub making music.

This is the final event of 2015 and will include some of the finest Renaissance choral music written for the Christmas season.

There will be a collection on behalf of the Royal Voluntary Service on the night, with a suggested donation of £5.
