Lambeth Wind Orchestra, together with their conductor, John Holland, present 'Best of British', a musical tour of the British Isles featuring classic and brand new works for wind orchestra.

The band welcomes renowned clarinet soloist Professor Linda Merrick who will perform Stephen McNeff's Clarinet Concerto, a piece written and dedicated to her in 2005.

The programme includes Adrenaline City by Adam Gorb, Guy Woolfenden's Ilyrian Dances and A John Gay Suite by Buxton Orr, as well as the premiere of Lucy Pankhurst's Four Sonnets.

Lambeth Wind Orchestra (LWO) is a south London concert band based in Herne Hill. The concert will include a retiring collection for LWO's charity of the year, the Alzheimer's Society. In the last 12 months the band has raised an impressive £1660 for the charity.

In the concert the band continues its Epilogue series, commemorating the music of composers from World War I , with the pastoral masterpiece by Arthur Butterworth, 'The Banks of Green Willow'.
