Professional and volunteer actors and performers help bring history to life in a huge variety of creative ways.
Recent successes include the hugely popular performance tour along Borough High Street animating stories, art and objects from the First World War.
Come along to a free event looking at how this approach is helping organisations like the Tate, National Gallery and Southwark's heritage team bring their collections out into the open.
Get involved in the conversation about how to animate history in new and inventive ways outside of traditional museum and gallery settings.
The discussion panel will include producer John Whelan, of theatre groups "People's Company" and "Imagine That", guests from Tate Britain and the National Gallery and Southwark's heritage team.
The panel will discuss how this has made a difference to them and what more can be done in the future to animate history.
There will also be some short performances by local actors and a display of objects on WWI.
