The Catalan Tourist Board invites you to sample the best of Catalan gastronomy at an all-new, free event.
Gastronomy lies at the heart of Catalonia's heritage and culture. With 65 Michelin stars, the region is one of Europe's prime culinary centres and its rich culinary identity is celebrated across the destination.
The inaugural Taste of Catalonia is an immersive event which will showcase Catalonia through its renowned food and wine, offering the opportunity to experience its culture first hand.
The weekend event will feature a recreation of an authentic Catalan market, with stalls from 9 local producers which will offer samples and traditional fresh produce for purchase as well as tourist information stalls.
A main bar will serve Estrella Damm, the beer of Barcelona, throughout the event and there will be a main DJ. Attendees will also have the opportunity to savour fine wine and cava from Catalonia's 12 official Denominations of Origin in some of the wine tasting sessions and take part in one of the exclusive demonstrations of Catalan culinary techniques with Michelin-starred chef Xesc Rovira.
All activities throughout the weekend will be free to attend; participants can register for available activity sessions in the Catalan Tourist Board marquee on-site.
