Borough Market is holding a series of cooking demonstrations on Thursdays throughout August in its Market Hall Demonstration Kitchen to celebrate the influence that the cultural heritage of some of the UK's most innovative chefs has had on their cooking.
23rd August: as an English-Irish-Iraqi, Philip Juma has been influenced by both Middle Eastern and modern European cuisine throughout his upbringing and this is reflected throughout his style of cooking today. Philip has taken his experiences from London's contemporary restaurant scene to translate traditional dishes using modern cooking techniques and Michelin flair, while always staying true to the food's Iraqi heritage.
