Kiftsgate Court Gardens

100 Years of Women Gardeners

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

The Garden Museum will celebrate Kiftsgate Court Gardens and three generations of talented female gardeners.

Heather Muir spent 30 years establishing the gardens and was succeeded by her daughter Diany Binny, followed by her granddaughter Anne in 1988. Each generation of plantswoman has tended Kiftsgate for a third of a century, building upon the legacy of the previous generation.

Using material from the family's archives, Sabina Rüber's stunning contemporary seasonal photography and a film by Peter Kindersley, a taste of these historic Cotswold gardens will be brought to life in the Museum. The exhibition coincides with the release of a book by Vanessa Berridge titled Kiftsgate Court Gardens: Three Generations of Women Gardeners (published by Merrell).
