Part of Waterloo Festival, this harpsichord recital features music by two great Bachs: Johann Sebastian and Carl Philipp Emanuel, the father and one of his most talented sons. CPE Bach throughout his life stood in opposition to his parent, but later claimed that what he learnt about music was in fact from his father-a transformation of minds indeed. The programme includes CPE's variations upon Folie d'Espagne as well as a Prussian Sonata in B flat major, and JS's Ouverture in a French Style. An international selection!
