For the London Festival of Architecture, alongside neighbours Weston Williamson and Partners, Nagan Johnson will introduce an installation into the alleyway that connects both the practices' offices and the boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark.
Spawned from the contrast between the linear pattern of development in Lambeth and more triangular local urban grain in Southwark, the installation allows a selection inserted forms to appear as a three-sided 2D object from a viewpoint on the Southwark side and a series of linear planes in a 3D space from the Lambeth side.
The installation invites the public to interact with the objects and explore the way in which the boundary has been represented.
Not only this, but Nagan Johnson will be holding office tours, an exhibition inside the office exploring this theme in a social and cultural context and will offering the public delicious home-made delicacies to sample.
