The National Youth Theatre presents a new commission exploring the relentless world of university freshers' week and how far we go to fit in. The production is presented by NYT's social inclusion programme 'Playing Up', a course for 19 - 24 year olds not in full time education, employment or training which has an 85% success rate of moving young people into higher education, further training or employment. Summer Fest is written by Yolanda Mercy, named Artist to Watch 2017 by the British Council and part of the BBC Writers room and is directed by Soho Theatre Resident Director Lakesha Arie-Angelo.
