Cycle Theft Surgery

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

British Transport Police is targeting cycle theft hotspots to educate bike owners about how they can avoid falling victim to cycle thieves.

BTP crime reduction officers are hosting a series of cycle surgeries at railway stations where cycle theft has been an issue in the past.

BTP and train operating companies are promoting the Data Tag scheme.

These tags can be registered by the owners and if their cycle is stolen and then recovered the owner can be traced.

Officers will also be providing discount vouchers for ABUS who supply secure rated cycle locks. Evans cycle shops have also volunteered assistance for the cycle surgeries.
