Supermodel Naomi Campbell, politician Baroness Amos and racing driver Lewis Hamilton are amongst fifty Black Britons whose portraits are on show at City Hall.

Black Britannia features striking images taken by John Ferguson, Fleet Street's first black photographer, of some of the most well known - and less familiar - black men and women who have risen to the top of their chosen fields.

John has selected some of his favourite images taken over a five-year period to illustrate individual achievements that have made them positive role models. A wide range of professions and backgrounds is represented, from headteachers to fashion designers, pop stars to politicians, and boxers to lawyers, including comedian Lenny Henry, the first black headteacher Gloria Hyatt, Archbishop of York John Sentamu, firefighter Victoria Henry, guardsman Nicholas Tunge, and the ICA's Ekow Eshun.
