There will be performances running back to back, as well as workshops which provide ample opportunities for full audience participation.
Acts range from the traditional, ballet, modern and tap to the innovative 'Belly-Bolly-Banghra' and the hair raising Scissors Dance!
Southwark is taking part in the national Big Dance initiative 2008.
This is a celebratory event that aims to promote London's cultural life through dance. Big Dance promises to deliver a wealth of participatory events, showcase performances, explore new, innovative ideas and stage work in exciting, unexpected places!
The initiative is led by the Mayor of London's Office and will be the second of what is hoped to be a biennial event leading up to the Olympics in 2012.
Big Dance will illustrate that dance is a fun, cross-cultural, accessible activity and keeps you fit and healthy, no matter what your age.
This will be a showcase of different dance styles for each letter of the alphabet.
