This one day event will feature a fashion show, live African dance group and an educational workshop on different textile techniques and skills found in different countries within the Great Lakes region of Africa.
Great Lakes African Women's Network was founded in 2000 as a support structure for vulnerable African refugee women from the region, who are traumatised because of the effects of civil war in their countries of origin.
