Armed Forces Day

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Armed Forces Day celebrates and commemorates the past and continuing contributions of the Armed Forces and veteran communities.

It is a chance for Londoners to show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from serving troops to Service families, veterans and recruits.

At 12 noon veterans will march across Tower Bridge, with a cannon salute and fly past.

Between 12 noon and 3pm there will be live music and entertainment. Bring a picnic and listen to close harmony singers, Jazz, marching bands and more.

There will also be an opportunity to watch a real army field kitchen in action.

Children's activities include the opportunity to get close to real army vehicles and tackle a climbing wall.

Plus launch of Food for Heroes cookbook.
