Around the World in a Day

Hilton London Tower Bridge is inviting the local community to travel around the world in a day as part of Hilton in the Community Foundation's annual national charity event.

All proceeds raised from this year's event in More London Place will be donated to The Friends of Valence, which is a school that caters for students aged five to nineteen years of age who have a variety of physical disabilities and/or complex medical needs. Valence School provides the opportunities and support to enable young people to develop personally, socially and educationally to enable them to live in the community as a valued citizen.

The effort is part of a national challenge. Hilton team members, charity partners and the public will all be working together on the day in over 70 hotels and offices all over the country, collectively aiming to travel the circumference of the earth - 24,901.55 miles. They will also be competing to see who can cover the most miles.

In More London Place participants will aim to cover as much distance as possible by participating in a walk of the local area, including Tower Bridge and London Bridge, as well as group efforts in the team challenge. The team challenge is a more rigorous fitness test with teams of four covering relay miles on cardiovascular equipment non stop for seven hours.

The Team Challenge event will be located in the outside area of the Hilton London Tower Bridge. There will be a theme of around the world flags, so feel free to dress up as well to the country of your choice! Sombreros and Cowboy hats welcome!

According to Guy Klaiman, General Manager of the Hilton London Bridge, this year's event is another fantastic opportunity for the community to get together and to have fun in support of a great cause.
