Improving Bermondsey Local Parks

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Have your say on Southwark Council's plans to improve St John's Churchyard, Tanner Street Park and St Mary Magdalen churchyard.

Tanner Street Park is a well-used and well-regarded park and has seen considerable improvements take place in the last 10 years.

In 2001 new trees were planted aswell as the installation of new paviers, cycle hoops and low level planting. This year more improvements will take place.

Southwark Council in partnership with Farrer Huxley Associates are developing a scheme for the park with a natural play focus. This scheme will utilise the underused space at the south eastern end of the park by transforming this area into a more attractive area for users of the park.

To have your say in how you would like to improve Tanner Street Park please fill in this questionnaire [PDF].

There is also a questionnaire for St Mary Magdalen Churchyard [PDF].

The Bermondsey Parks consultation event will provide an opportunity to have your say. There will be a variety of children's activities in Tanner Street Park on the day including face- painting, craft work and sports activities between 2pm and 4pm. There will also be drop in sessions at all three parks 4pm-7pm where you can put forward your ideas.
