Ivan Hovorun

Ukrainian pianist Ivan Hovorun began his piano studies at the age of five. His first public performance (age 9) followed soon after by his first performance with the Lvov Symphony Orchestra at age 12 when he played Beethoven's 1st Piano Concerto. He has been invited to play with the Lvov Symphony Orchestra every year since then.

Ivan is now in his first year Masters Diploma at the Royal Northern College of Music, studying with Graham Scott. This year Ivan was awarded teh Myra Hess prize from the Musicians Benevolent Fund and a scholarship from the Hattori Foundation for 2010.
