The Poetry Society marks National Poetry Day with a centenary celebration devoted to our poetic heroes and heroines.

As the BBC announces the winner of the poll to find the Nation's Favourite Poet, drop in to share the excitement with an afternoon of free public events featuring live poetry performances, film and audio archive, interactive wordplay and poetic knitting.

Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy will read a new poem live at 2.30pm.

Other performers include John Hegley and Dreadlock Alien.
