Exhibition by Czech artist Teri Varhol.
Exhibited in the White Space alongside the Dali Universe, Varhol is in the vanguard of young Czech artists whose work has developed free of the shadow of the Soviet past.
Combining cutting-edge digital manipulation with traditional techniques, Varhol embraces chaos and absurdity to produce artworks, which are original, disturbing and surreally beautiful. Classical themes and composition meld with experimental digital photography in a process she describes as 'new painting' to reflect its traditional and contemporary elements. The result is a unique vision, uniquely expressed.
This is the first opportunity for a London audience to see a major collection of 64 works recently described in Prague as 'mystical, beautiful and significant'.
