The Big Puffin Birthday Workshop: Help to launch a celebration of 70 spectacular years of Puffin at BFI Southbank.

Puffin is the number 1 children's publisher in the world, so this month the BFI is asking you to come along with your favourite book and get ready to transform it into your very own film - just like The Railway Children.

With help on hand from film professionals and writers, the BFI will help you to create a script, characters and a storyboard which you can act out in front of a camera to turn your favourite scene from a book into a real movie!

The Railway Children: To celebrate the 40th birthday of this classic film and 70 years of Puffin books, the BFI presents this newly remastered digital print of one of the best-loved family films of all time. E Nesbit's sumptuous Victorian tale sees a wronged family forced to move from London to Yorkshire, where they experience a new life with hardship and adventure dished out in equal measure.
