Lope de Vega's Fuente Ovejuna

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

In 1472 the villagers of Fuente Ovejuna stood up to a tyrant and inspired a nation. Famous for its revolutionary fervour and bucolic joy, Fuente Ovejuna is one of the great masterpieces of the Spanish Golden Age.

Performed with an eleven strong ensemble on a bare stage, a live band every night and an irreverent selection of props including frisbees, water-bombs and toilet fresheners.

Written and directed by Daniel Goldman for Tangram Theatre Company.
