Scrapstores UK launch

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Join new charity Scrapstores UK for their official launch on Playday.

Children and families, local and from afar, are welcome to get out and play in a scrapstore extravaganza.

Scrapstores UK has been set up to support the reuse of unwanted resources for the benefit of children and communities.

Clean reusable scrap materials (which businesses find hard to recycle so would otherwise be landfilled) are available for children to play with in a network of 100 'scrapstores' across the UK.

All sorts of fabrics, paper, card and plastics in a kaleidoscope of colours, textures and shapes will be available.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic to this free event and get stuck in to celebrate Playday 2010.
