Bermondsey Community Council at St Mary Magdalen

Regular meeting for residents of Riverside, Grange and South Bermondsey wards.

This community council meeting will focus on the history of Bermondsey and how it has shaped and been shaped by the community, and aims to encourage a sense of ownership, belonging and pride of place.

The meeting will include
• Reflections on growing up in Bermondsey
• Thames Mudlarks
Cuming Museum
• Bermondsey & Rotherhithe Local History Group
• Workshop to generate the Grassroots guide to Bermondsey

Featuring some interesting and quirky views of the local past, the meeting will include a mini exhibition and some very engaging talks.

Part of the meeting will also be dedicated to the council's budget consultation.

There will also be a chance to learn about Thames Water's proposals to use Alfred Salter Playground and King's Stairs Gardens for the Thames Tunnel 'super sewer' project.

Meet your councillors, have your say and learn about the work of local police officers and community wardens.

Food and refreshments provided.
