A 40ft boat that has been under construction for two years is the culmination of an artist's imaginative vision, dedication and talent as sculptor and blacksmith.
The 20-ton vessel called the Walking Boat will be sailed by its creator Andrew Baldwin from Sandwich on the Kent coast to the foreshore on Bankside close to Tate Modern.
Andrew Baldwin is a sculptor and master blacksmith of 28 years and known for his bespoke kinetic sculptures which often combine heavy salvage with intricate hand-crafted parts.
