Council 'absolutely committed' to fire station secondary school

Southwark Council is 'absolutely committed' to the opening of a new secondary school at the former fire station complex in Southwark Bridge Road, regeneration boss Mark Williams said last week.

Southwark to Westminster: Mandela Way dustcart plan 'inappropriate'

A fleet of dustcarts working for Westminster City Council is already based at a depot in Mandela Way even though Southwark Council has indicated that planning permission may not be forthcoming.

Garden Bridge: Margaret Hodge censured for use of Commons office

The Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards has ruled that Dame Margaret Hodge committed a "serious breach" of the MPs' code of conduct by using her office at the House of Commons to carry out a review of the Garden Bridge project for which she was paid.
