HSBC Millennium Bridge Walk

A walk taking the form of a 'figure of eight', with the Millennium Bridge as its centrepiece, is planned to raise money for Save the Children.

The HSBC Millennium Bridge Walk takes place on Saturday 10 June, covering ten miles between Tower Bridge in the east and Lambeth Bridge in the west. The route passes Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London and the London Eye. Further interest will be provided by a variety of musicians and street entertainers from ska to rock, from big bands to quartets and from samba to steel drums. The day ends with a lantern procession across the bridge involving residents from Bankside. For more information or to take part in the HSBC Millennium Bridge Walk contact the Walker Recruitment hotline on 020 7252 4141.

The bridge will be opened by the Queen on Tuesday 9 May.
