Take the plunge for SE1 charity

The Oasis Trust, which works with homeless people in South-East London, is looking for 70 volunteers to bungee jump for the charity.

The Oasis Health Centre in Lambeth Road provides primary health care for over 260 homeless people a week. Oasis, which has a track record of breaking the cycle of homelessness, has for six years been providing an opportunity for the homeless to see a chiropodist, dentist, optician and even a hairdresser. There is a also a laundry and a clothes exchange.

The bungee jumpers, who will be sponsored, are needed for a jump at the Southwark Show later this summer. Anyone willing to help the charity's local work in this way should phone 020 7450 9000.
