Borough Food Markets go weekly

The Trustees of the Borough Market have announced that the increasingly popular retail Food Markets on the third Saturday of the month will in future be a weekly event.

The aim is to provide a weekly "one stop shop" in the Borough on Saturdays (9am-7pm), with some traders also opening on Friday afternoons (12 noon-7pm)as demand increases. The full selection of stallholders will still be trading on the third Saturday of the month.

The development of Borough Market as a centre of excellence for all thing edible will soon be strengthened with the opening at 6 Southwark Street (next to the main market entrance) of de Gustibus, a high quality bakers shop run by Dan Schickentanz, twice winner of the Baker of the Year award.
