Locals recognised in New Year Honours
Dallas Ariotti of Guy's and St Thomas' who instigated the mass casualty plan and set up the command centre on 7 July heads the list of locals to be honoured this year.
Ms Ariotti, director of performance at Guy's and St Thomas', last week collected an award on behalf of her colleagues from our two hospitals.
Madeline Held, director of LLU+ (formerly the London Language and Literacy Unit) at London South Bank University, is awarded the OBE for services to Adult Basic Skills.
Also receiving an OBE is Mabel Slater, director of professions complementary to dentistry, at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' – for services to dental health.
