Lovage
Lovage, recently replaced Bar Hara in the same spot next to The Circle and Jakob the Horse.

Try the Salmon Tikka for starters and the great home-made raita with any of the main courses! It is nothing like any raita you would have tried in an average Indian restaurant.

We moved across town and this is the only restaurant we miss - we even go back there regularly despite the 1hour tube journey. Now that's saying something.

Love Lovage!
Lovage is a new Indian bar and restaurant in The Circle. It has replaced a similar outfit that always seemed empty and somewhat forlorn. I hope that Lovage is more successful. Accompanied by two other adults and three children, I visited for the first time this week, taking advantage of a 25% discount voucher, which was honoured without any fuss at all. We all enjoyed the food, the service and the whole experience. The restaurant offered a good range of vegetarian dishes as part of a wider menu, and two draft Indian beers. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced, especially at 25% off! The kids were entertained by the exotically costumed “greeter” and were comfortable in the relaxed atmosphere. Try it - if you don't like it you can always go back to the Bengal Clipper!
