Rory Bremner's new translation of Offenbach's irreverent romp comes to the Young Vic's Maria.
Originally written to satirise Napoleon III's Paris, Bremner's new version updates the action to the present day, drawing parallels with a media-savvy, celebrity-obsessed world.
Artistic director of Northern Ireland Opera Oliver Mears directs a fast-moving production full of wit, mayhem and madness.
