When should I talk to my children about the Holocaust?

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

This free family session is a useful starting point for families who wish to learn more about the Holocaust, before visiting IWM's free permanent exhibition. Using replica artefacts, simple definitions will be discussed and your questions will be considered. We also cover issues of our own identities and creations of the 'other' in our societies on a domestic and international level. It is the aim of the learning department to put at ease parents and guardians who may wish to or decide not to visit the exhibition and offer help and support for further study, whatever your decision. Please note that the Holocaust exhibition is recommend for children aged 14 years and above.
