Christmas Oratorio by J S Bach at Southwark Cathedral

The Esterhazy Singers join forces with The Little Baroque Company to present Bach's Christmas Oratorio sung in the original language and with period instruments.

Bach's Christmas Oratorio is in six parts, each part being originally intended for performance on one of the major feast days of the Christmas period.

These will be sensitively abridged in the Esterhazy Singers' performance to encompass the journey from Christmas to the Epiphany whilst including the very best of Bach's sublime music.

The choir will be joined by young soloists Charlotte Mobbs (soprano), Kate Symonds-Joy (Mezzo), Greg Tassell (Tenor) and Jimmy Holliday (Bass), and the period instrumental ensemble The Little Baroque Company led by Helen Kruger.
