Chaucer: Modern Echoes

Poet in the City and Southwark Cathedral present an event exploring the modern legacy of this seminal English poet and storyteller.

Featuring acclaimed contemporary poets Lavinia Greenlaw (reading from her modern adaptation of Troilus and Criseyde), and Patience Agbabi (performing her brand new version of The Canterbury Tales).

The event will feature readings from Chaucer's original texts, together with modern versions, showing his enormous impact on the history of English poetry.
