Demolition Drawing

Artwork produced by local school children exhibited alongside works by artist and education workshop leader Reuben Powell.

The culmination of an educational drawing project focussed on the demolition of the Heygate Estate, Reuben created this project to teach observational skills applied to the local environment (school, home and surroundings) through the vehicle of observed drawing, photography, discussion and writing.

Working with the developer, Lend Lease & their the demolition contractors unprecedented access has been granted to the demolition site for Reuben's project.
