An Actors Touring Company, Young Vic and Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh production of
The Suppliant Women by Aeschylus staged in the Main House.
This new version by David Greig, directed by Ramin Gray with music John Browne, is performed by a community chorus of Lambeth and Southwark residents alongside a professional cast.
A group of strong but scared women set sail from their home, leaving everything they have behind. Facing forced marriage, they seek sanctuary in Greece. When they arrive, the King and the people must decide their fate.
